A nice day overall, very quiet and relaxing. Spent most of the morning and early afternoon doing computer stuff. Got a few more pictures ready to post, and then got a start on my tax's for the year. It didn't take long for that to grow old however and find myself reading the comics instead.
My one great achievement for the day was finding my extra truck key fob. It wasn't in the truck console as was expected. Instead it finally showed up in the 'catch all' drawer in the trailer. After checking that the new one worked, it did, it was opened up to see what battery it was using for power. Turns out that it is the same one I bought yesterday and put into the old key fob. So it is obviously something else that is preventing that one from working. It may just be that after 12 years of use it has just worn out some of it's contacts on the micro chip inside. What ever the reason, the old one has now been replaced with the new one, and I will be happy if it lasts even half as long as the other one did.
Took a drive into Gainsville late this afternoon and wandered around a couple of stores there. Didn't actually buy anything this time around, but did manage to get some walking in before heading back to the trailer this evening.
I'm going to read some this evening and then try to get to bed a bit earlier tonight. Its been well after 1:00 a.m. for the past couple of nights. Granted, there isn't any real problem with that as it isn't like I need to get up and go somewhere, but I am finding that the trailer is heating up in the early morning sun and thereby waking me up before I have my full compliment of sleep in. It might be better if I'm up and going earlier in the morning.
For now though; here are some more pictures from my week of contra dancing on St. Croix last week. These are from an early morning trip we did over to the local farmers market. Getting up and going at 0-dark thirty was hard, but it was also fun to see all of the locals and all of the local fruits and veggies and fish that were sale.

St Croix Farmers Market - February 6, 2016

Still dark as we exit our taxi and start exploring the farmers market on St. Croix. There were 8 or so of us from the dance week that decided to go and see what it was all about. Many of the locals are still setting up as we arrive.

Locals continued to arrive as we wandered around looking at everything. Rima picked out a couple of local things for us to try including some local fruit and some 'travel bread'. (It had a different name but I can't remember what it was).

Everything is bright and loud as we wandered around.

Some of the dancers, including Rima, looking at all of the local delights.

On the other side of the entrance road were some of the vendors who were selling local fish. At some of the stands guys with sharp machetes and mallets whacked fish steaks out of whole tuna, wha-hoo and other large fish. It doesn't get much fresher than that.

Daylight is coming and it is becoming more crowded. On the recommendation of our taxi driver, Maurice, we tried 'Salt Fish Pate'. Our thought was that it would be some type of spread you would put on bread or crackers, but it turned out to be a 'travel loaf' with a salt fish filling. They were okay and served to keep our hunger at bay until we could get some more substantial food for breakfast.

One last view. I had been promised 'Avocado Ice Cream' from one of the locals, but their truck never showed up, so I guess it will just have to wait until next year.
