A slow morning today... plenty of time to get up and eat, read the comics, do the cross word and the dishes and then take a nice shower. Once that was all done it was time to go out and about and really enjoy this fantastic weather that has been blessing this area. The temp was near 82 degrees this afternoon with just a hint of a breeze and moderate humidity. Just right for shorts and t-shirts and flip-flops, the only thing that would of made it better would of been if I had been on a beach somewhere.
As it is I headed out to the Alachua Sink area of Paynes Prairie State Park again for a nice walk along the waterways and dikes. Being warm and sunny the gators and turtles were out all along the banks of the waterways with some bank areas having 15-20 of them at a time. Took a lot of pictures on my hike out to the tower and back and will post a bunch of them in the next day or two. I'm going to post a couple of them today, but there are to many of them to try and download them all yet this evening.
I'll be packing up and heading over to the Orlando area in the morning. The plan is to try and check in to Wekiva State Park over there for the next couple of weeks while I hang out for the next weekend dance event. Not sure if there is going to be any space available for me though as the park isn't taking reservations at this point as they are modernizing their campground. Will just have to wait and see and hope for the best. Right now though it is already getting late and it's time to hit the rack.
Okay.... sorry, but I don't seem to be able to upload photo's at this time. Perhaps tomorrow.
